  1. Aim of the Campaign and Definitions

The aim of the campaign is to show our support for our local pubs, restaurants and takeaways

For the purpose of this competition/campaign the definition for the words restaurant, pub and takeaway are taken from the Oxford Dictionary—a link can be found to these definitions below:

End date

The competition will end at 5pm on 16th March 2015. Winners will be announced soon after


  1. Voting

Voters are given four nominations:

One for each of the best pub, restaurant and takeaway one for the best meal at either a pub, restaurant and takeaway. Votes can be made online.


Residents are able to vote online at by entering the names of their favourite local pubs and restaurants along with their name, a valid email address, phone number and postcode.

Online voting will close at 5pm on 16th March 2015.

Each person may only vote once. Any duplicates or suspected duplicates will be discounted.

  1. Winners

There will be 3 winners in total: one for each category.

Main prizewinners will be determined on a First Past The Post basis.

The data you provide will be retained by the Conservative Party and Cannock Chase Conservatives (“the data holders”) in accordance with the provisions of the Data Protection Act 1998 and related legislation.
